Hilarious, or hypocritical?
The government says that the renewable energy market should be "able to stand alone without government subsidy" (see here). Funny how it doesn't extend this policy to the airlines - it's been propping up that market for years by refusing to tax aviation fuel. And on a related note, I see RyanAir's "woes" (see previous post here) haven't stopped it launching a £1bn for rival airline Aer Lingus. My heart bleeds for them.
