Christian students in legal fight
My cousin Jemma is on Radio 2 at lunchtime (around 12pm) today being interviewed by Jeremy Paxman about the Exeter University Evangelical Christian Union's legal challenge over its accusation that it's been discriminated against (see
here). I've blogged on this before, but my personal view is that I find it some hypocritical of this group to cry foul on the question of "fundamental freedoms of belief, association and expression" when its own rules prevent non-Christians from joining the society - or indeed anyone who doesn't agree to sign its statement of religious belief.
EDIT: It's Jeremy Vine, not Jeremy Paxman (thanks mum!). Anyway, the show's homepage is
here.
