Gobsmacked

That's how I feel after Blues sensationally beat Spurs 3-2 at White Hart Lane this afternoon. Two screamers from Jerome and Larsson gave us a lucky win, but to be fair to the players and Alex McLeish, they deserved that luck because when Spurs went down to ten men with the score at 2-2, he threw on two forwards and tried to win the game. Blues finished the stronger, doing more in the last 10 minutes than we'd managed all game (despite scoring twice) and grabbed an unlikely three points. In a league where it appears 35 points will be enough for survival, we're one win away from being halfway towards that target, and with winnable games coming up between now and Christmas, we're in a great position to consolidate our Premier League position by getting more than halfway to safety before the halfway mark in the season.
