Over the past few days I've started listening properly to the new Eagles album, which has apparently sold millions of copies worldwide. Although I've been catching some of the tracks here and there when playing random songs, I'd not realised just how familiar the album was until listening to it in its entirety. Put simply, it's brilliant. I'm currently listening to the extensive band interview where they discuss the album, and their green leanings (and intelligence) come across as strongly in their comments as they do in their songs.
From a musicianship point of view, the album is superb, but the strong environmental and political message being put across (and clearly being heard judging by its strong sales) is equally gratifying. It's nice to know even superstars are aware of what's going on around them...
